About Us

AJ Consumer Watch was formed to help consumers understand the loan process and protect them from unscrupulous mortgage lenders and brokers that prey on unwary borrowers.  We are dedicated to the education of homeowners and home buyers, so they do not fall prey to the predators that are so prevalent in the mortgage industry.

Alan Jablonski, author of “Successfully Navigating the Mortgage Maze” is a prominent consumer rights attorney and California mortgage broker based in Long Beach, CA.  Alan has represented hundreds of clients regarding inaccurate credit reporting on their bureau reports and informed them of their rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  He has helped many homeowners and home buyers avoid predatory loans that carry with them high rates, outrageous fees and prepayment penalties that lock homeowners into high cost loans.

In his early years as an attorney, Alan practiced law in the Los Angeles County Foster Care System as one of many dedicated children’s lawyers with the Children’s Law Center of Los Angeles.  During his law school years, he receive the “Dean’s Citation” for his dedication and work as the Chairman of the Public Interest Law Foundation.  Alan has served as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau of Sothern California’s auto-line program, rendering decisions on lemon law complaints brought by consumers who believe they have purchased a vehicle that warrants a refund or replacement based on numerous repairs.
